Seth Birch has decided now is the right time to step down from his Y&H area duties, at least to the same level.
As a 7th Dan Judo coach and international player, Seth’s dedication, skill, and passion have inspired generations of judoka — not only through his achievements on the mat, but through the countless hours he has devoted to coaching, mentoring, and developing others.
His contribution has left an enduring mark on British Judo and on everyone fortunate enough to train or work alongside him.

More referee success for the Yorkshire & Humberside area as Cian Maris passes hie B exam at the first attempt and Ben George gains his A badge. Both being assessed at the 2024 national pre-cadet & cadet event.

Ian Johns has been recognised by UK Sport for his achievements in coaching the BJA paralympic squad to 4 medals.
Over 3 Paralympic cycles the BJA squad have taken one gold, two silver and one bronze under Ian's stewardship.
