Start of February this year saw a number of players gather at the York Railway Institute for a 2 day course on Nage no kata and katame no kata.
The course was run by Dermot Heslop (regional development officer) and saw players develop their knowledge in kata and, for some, progress towards towards their next technical grade.
At the same event Janet Fox was presented with a silver salver from the area in recognition of all her efforts at Rothwell Judo club which is unfortunately closing.
The club kindly decided to donate the remaining funds to the Yorkshire & Humberside Judo area.
