Another competitive grading at York RI.

With separate gradings for seniors and veterans across two mats and theory exams available it was a busy day!

A competition on Saturday with grading the day after on the Sunday was something we as an area haven't tried before (at least not in memory of current committee!) but if we don't try things we won't move forward. I think it was a succesful weekend with a number of players opting to do both the Senior & Veterans competition on saturday and the competitive dan grading on the Sunday.

As ever, thanks due to all the volunteer officials and organisors for giving up their time to support another great event.

We didn't have enough players to run separate senior/veteran gradings this time, but we did have one of those players complete her points for 1st dan having travelled from Scotland to claim her last points. She also did her theory exam with us at a previous event.
