An inivitation is offered to all practicing judoka from Yorkshire & Humberside to the Official opening of Barnsley judo Club, Shaw Lane, Barnsley.
On Sunday 15th November 2009.
The opening will be at 11.30am and will be followed by a practice session taken by Sid Askin who, with others, founded Barnsley Judo Club in the past.
For those who do not Know Sid, he now lives in Scarborough and runs ASA Judo club in the town. He was also European Wrestlng Champion and was a regular on T.V. screens during the early Saturday Wrestling shows. After the training session there will be a buffet and a general opportunity to mix with others from Judo in South Yorkshire.
From 2010 the Yorkshire and Humberside area will be running two grading events per year, one in the spring and one in the autumn.
These will be for technical kyu grades and competitive dan grades.
