Sunday saw Yorkshire and Humberside Judo run a competitive dan grading in Goole.

3 men first kyus completed the points requirement for their first dan and one of the ladies completed her points requirements for 2nd dan.

Ladies

6 ladies turned up to fight, 3 1st kyus, 2 1st dans and a 2nd dan.

Of the 1st kyus 1 took 30 points (including a win against a 1st dan), one got 10 and the third got no points.

The 1st dans were allowed to fight the 1st kyus as well as each other resulting in 10 points for one and 25 points for the other. She has now completed the points requirement for 2nd dan.

The 2nd dan was allowed to fight the 2 1st dans for half points and secured 10 points from 2 wins.

 

Men

Of 14 1st kyus that attended the grading there were 7 line-ups. 2 line-ups were successfully completed completing the competitive part of their dan grading. Another 1st kyu managed to obtain all the remaining points needed for his 1st dan, so we had 3 1st kyus finish collecting promotion points towards 1st dan.

There were 4 1st dan men who fought each other, one took 30 points, 2 took 10 points and the forth gained no points.
