We’re back.

It’s been an interesting year, trying to work out when we’ll be able to get back to the sport we love.

Membership of the British Judo Association has been hit hard over the period we haven’t been able to train and compete. While this isn’t a surprise, it does make for hard reading. Happily numbers are increasing again.

We’ve seen two busy events in the autumn, the North Yorkshire Festival and the York grading. Both of which were well attended, a trend we aim to continue.

We ( Y & H Judo) are still here and happy to hear from clubs and individual members. Please do get in touch with your thoughts and questions. Whether that’s suggestions for what you’d like to see from us, finding out about getting involved with volunteering or just general questions.

Our long standing Chairman, Colin Cleavin, stepped down from the committee 12 months ago.

Alan Stanbra, the area secretary, has now decided the time is right for him to step away from the area committee.

Both Colin and Alan had dedicated themselves to the Yorkshire & Humberside area for decades, they deserve the thanks of the area.

In recognition of their long dedicated service the area has conferred on them both the title of Honorary Life President of the Yorkshire & Humberside area.

Thank you both.
