Judogi: Players are to maintain the high standards of judo etiquette and personal hygiene expected by the BJA.

Zori: Suitable footwear must be worn to the edge of the mat

 

Typical session structure:

 

09.45-10:15hrs Registration

10:15-10:45hrs Warm up/body circuit

10:45-12:15hrs Open Randori (2 mats except when Y&H Gradings held alongside sessions)

13:00-15:00hrs Technical session - Tachiwaza/newaza drills & invited coach/player masterclasses

During the day coaches and players will be taken through the whole of Nage-no-Kata.

Examinations maybe taken on the day if candidates have completed a course previously.

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to learn Kata, for those wishing to fulfil the requirements for their next grade and for coach’s revalidation.
