You may be aware that the EJU held a seminar in Malaga in January where further changes to the IJF contest rules were proposed.

We are just waiting for the BJA Board of Directors to approve the changes and the new rules will then be applied in BJA Competitions.

It's important that Referees, Coaches and Players are fully aware of the changes and what rules will be applied in 2014 before they are introduced.

To pass on this information, a short workshop has been arranged on Sunday 16th February at

Mirarmar Judo Club
The New Eastwood View
Fitzwilliam Road
Rotherham
S65 1LY

All Y & H Referees and Coaches are invited to attend free of charge. Casual dress is acceptable - you will not need judogis or refereeing uniform! Just bring a notepad and pen.

The Workshop will start at 1.30pm prompt and finish about 3.30pm. Please ensure you arrive in good time.

If you need any further information, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Can you help a club survive?

The Bahari judo club has been using judo mats that belong to the Zanzibar judo association. After 3 years and the club getting established, the association has asked for the mats back, leaving the club matless.

This is where you come in!

The Bahari club is reaching out to the international judo community for help in securing funding to purchase a set of mats owned by the club.

Abdul, coach of the club, has been active in the area for a while now. Including as a coach at the Judo Excellence club.
